eNewsletter August 2014

Welcome to the latest edition of Gough Plastics eNewsletter! Over the past two months our team has been getting involved with donations, innovations and conservation! And let's not forget Celebrations! Please read all the way to the end to discover what our 25th Anniversary Celebration Special will be this month.

Our Office Renovation!

Our Office Renovation!

But first, check out our office renovation! You may remember seeing this 3D image on a billboard along the Bruce Highway, or featured in our newsletter exactly one year ago. Now it has found a permanent home gracing the side of our factory office, and we think it's quite a sensation!

eNewsletter August 2014 - Donations

Donations

Our Rural Products Division has been very busy in the Community lately! This month, we were happy to support fundraising for the Royal Flying Doctor Service and Angel Flight by donating products for the Reedybrook Ashes auction. And if you look at the photo very carefully, you may see our 10,000L tank sitting proudly on the hill, making the Ashes weekend a little more comfortable for everyone! Next month, please come out and see us at WestTech Field Days in Barcaldine. This event is known as "the largest assortment of equipment, product and information specific to extensive grazing industries" and is held only once every three years, so don't miss the opportunity to check out all of the exhibits! And if you're in the Northern Territory, you will also find Gough Plastics at the inaugural NT Field Days at Katherine Research Station on September 18-19. Please stop by and say hello!

eNewsletter August 2014 - Innovations

Innovations

Our Engineering Department has had quite a diverse month, producing everything from large mulch boxes and battery houses to idler guards and steps for a playground! In fact, innovation is the driving force behind our Engineering Department – they are constantly looking at ways to create something new or improve something that already exists. For example, when you think of machinery, you probably think of big heavy metal components. But here at Gough Plastics, we are out to prove that, in many instances, plastic can be a far superior material. Plastic is lightweight, rustproof, durable and cost-efficient - perfect for replacing many steel components. Take a look at the idler guard we recently made - technology and innovation at its best!

eNewsletter August 2014 - Conservation

Conservation

Gough Plastics is proud to be part of Townsville's Innovation House – a 10 star rated home which embraces every aspect of conservation and innovation. We stopped by the house to ask Darren Finlay, creator and owner of this unique property, about water conservation and how he uses his 5000L Gough Plastics water tank. Please view the video or read the transcript from the interview.
