Holding Tanks
Holding tanks 'hold' the discharged effluent until such time that it can be pumped out, and discharged offsite. System loading and the frequency between pump outs (Calculator),
determines the size of Holding tank required.
The use of holding tanks is applicable in areas that are unsuitable to discharge effluent to ground.
Reasons may include:
- Areas of very high rainfall
- Areas with very close proximity to water sources (eg.
creeks & dams)
Standard: Float level indicator (rod & ball float unit)
Optional: Visual Alarm light kit
Holding tanks operate for long periods with little or no liquid in them. Therefore it is critical that they be correctly installed
See 'Hold Down Options' for the correct way to install and hold-down tanks.
