Digital Model / Proximity Switch Sensing (Internal Battery Powered)

This option allows for a battery powered door counter system to monitor the usage rate of the toilet facility. The lithium batteries in the counter are designed to function for many years. A proximity switch placed on the door and the jamb senses the movement of the door. To give the most accurate readings, it is ideal to install spring returns on the doors so that they operate in the normally closed position.

The installation of the proximity switch is not difficult with one component mounted on the door and one on the jamb. From the jamb portion, you then run the supplied cable back to the digital counter. The opening and closing of the door sends a signal back to the counter. The door counter readout is shown on a digital screen. Normally these readings are divided by two, as the unit counts the person going both in and out.

The digital counter is normally mounted in the face of a plastic enclosure that requires mounting out of the weather and protected from vandalism.
